Pinellas home prices post rare gain in July
September 2, 2008 - Tampa Bay area home sales have been flattening after their
prolonged free fall, but when will home prices come around? Maybe now. In
Pinellas County, the median home sales price rose to $195,000 in July, a 1.6
percent increase from June. In Pasco County, the $144,750 median price
represented a decline of $200, or 0.1 percent, from June to July. The
price-stabilizing trend has held the past three months, though year-to-year prices
are still down considerably. The pricing data was pulled from hundreds of
single-family home sales recorded by the Pinellas and Pasco property appraisers.
